The 2023 WENA Conference – our first – brought together women from across the energy sector to meet, network and share experiences. We found we had a lot in common! Women from site-based sectors lamented the lack of suitable PPE; women in management roles continue to strain against glass ceilings; allies find it hard to know how best to provide support.

The challenges are clear. Some are social; some are systemic; and some are about how we as individuals build our skills, capacity and confidence in a changing environment.

At the WENA Conference 2024, we moved from thinking about challenges to exploring solutions. Every day, female trailblazers in the energy sector are improving their skills, achieving their goals and helping transform the way that energy is generated, distributed and used across the world.

In 2024 we explored the how: how do these successes come about? What can we do as individuals, as businesses, as networks to make success available to all and in doing so, be truly representative of society? From practical solutions to calls for social change, the WENA Conference seta a positive platform for future change for women at all levels within the energy sector.
